Do you draw horses on your math homework? Would you rather muck a stall than clean your room?  Could you win the school spelling bee if they asked you to spell Appaloosa? Would you like to visit a miniature horse farm? Would you like to learn more about horse camping? Have you ever seen an equine surgery room? Have you been to model horse show? If you could answer yes to any of these questions, then you need to attend the next Norco Junior Horsemen's Association meeting!

Come and meet other young, active horse people, and learn more about the horses we already enjoy.Each meeting will announce the details of our upcoming field trips and activities, so don't miss out! Check the website for information on our next speaker and the topic to be presented. Remember, bring a notebook for the information you'll be collecting, and for the handouts you'll take home.

We will be meeting at the Norco Community Center in the Small Auditorium on the third Friday of each month. (January through November) from 6:45-8:30 PM. How to Earn Points During 2008

Here's a chance for you to show off all your hard work and good times spend with the NJHA. Starting at the January meeting and ending at the November meeting, NJHA members can earn points for the activities listed below. Once a member has earned 50 points, their name and points will be posted on the NJHA website and in the NHA newsletter. At the end of the year, awards will be given to members earning at least 50 points, and speical awards will be given to the Overall High Point Champion and Reserve Champion.

To earn points:

Attend a regular monthly NJHA meeting
15 points

Provide refreshements at a regular monthly NHJA meeting (up to 3 times in 1 year)
10 points


NJHA notebook challenge (due at the October NJHA meeting)
150 points possible

Attend an NJHA field trip
15 points

Other advisor-announced NJHA activities

15 points per hour
(5 for half hour)
